Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves described Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the "nicest man on earth" and banged the drum for the former striker to be given the Old Trafford permanently.
He even went so far to say that he believes Solskjaer has "already got the job" but it hasn't been announced yet.
Solskjaer has still to lose a game since taking over from Jose Mourinho in December and today he saw his side impressively beat struggling Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage. It was a win which lifted United back into the top four since August - a remarkable achievement given the way United had looked to be struggling for form and confidence in the final months of Mourinho.
Doubts may remain about whether Solskjaer should be given the job for keeps but the Norwegian is now odds on to be made the club's permanent boss. His impact cannot be understated said Hargreaves on BT Sport's Premier League Tonight.
"Everybody loves Ole because he's the nicest man on earth," said Hargreaves. "He had great success at the football club and he learnt from the greatest manager in the history of the game - Sir Alex - and he knows the club's principles. You need to be an entertainer at Manchester United and that wasn't the case (with Mourinho).
"I have never seen a group of players have a bigger gap between them an the manager. Everybody at some point was in the doghouse whether it was Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez or Luke Shaw. All of a sudden, Ole's come in and he's put his arm around everyone and said 'we're Manchester United, we're a team'.
"It's a joy to watch - it's what it should have been a long time ago. I think it's his job they just haven't announced it yet - it's a no brainer."
"At some point everyone was in the doghouse under Mourinho..."
