Leeds United fans will love this clip from training. The side were preparing for shooting practice ahead of their game this weekend against Bristol City at Elland Road and the forwards were running through their training drills when a ball was played over the top for Bamford.
He met the ball with an emphatic left-footed volley which soared over the keeper and into the top corner. The striker, who joined from Middlesbrough in the summer is yet to score in the Championship this season playing just five games but if he continues to impress in training with efforts such as this he could be on the scoresheet more often for Leeds.
The best part about this video is the beautiful reaction from manager Marcelo Bielsa who clearly shares an amazingly close bond with his players and Bamford in particular. As the ball struck the net Bielsa raced from the halfway line to embrace with his forward.
A win this weekend could see Leeds at the top of the Championship and Bielsa will be hoping he can complete his first season in England with a promotion at the end of it. Reports have suggested that Patrick Bamford could face some competition in January as Leeds could bring in Fernando Llorente from Tottenham for a fee of £4 million.
That would give Leeds great firepower as they look to get back into the Premier League for the first time in 15 years. Leeds fans certainly believe and if they can keep the momentum up they should be in contention in the final run in.
