Paul Pogba has been accused of "dancing on the grave" of Jose Mourinho by former Manchester United legend Gary Neville.

Speaking to Sky Sports News tonight, Neville said he didn't buy any of the excuses from Pogba's camp when talking about an Instagram post which appeared moments after Mourinho was sacked.

He said the post was typical of the strained relationship between the pair which has caused so much disruption at Old Trafford.

"Mourinho lost his job this morning and Paul Pogba and his people put that Instagram post out," said Neville. "Don't fall for this coincidence, schedule tweet nonsense - it's garbage. Absolute garbage. Do not let him fool you.

"Paul Pogba has got a big personality and I think he's a character and a leader, he has great qualities. I don't think he backs away from a fight - I think he would like to have gone public earlier.

"To dance on the grave of the manager who has just been sacked is out of order."

Neville said his grievance with Pogba was not personal but he couldn't believe what he saw this morning.

"I actually like Paul Pogba as a player," he said. ".Manchester United are a better team with Paul Pogba in it - that's the first thing to say.

"He's a huge talent and I actually have belief in him as a player and I liked him when he was at the club as a kid. It's not a personal thing.

"There is no doubt that Paul Pogba has fallen out with the manager - he doesn't believe in him, he doesn't like him. He doesn't think he's a good coach probably. And vice versa, Jose Mourinho doesn't think Pogba is as good a player as he thinks he is. There has been a complete breakdown between the pair of them in the last six months - maybe even 12 months. There is no doubt there is a high level of dislike there."
