Paul Pogba Isn’t The Only Manchester United Player That’s Being Linked With Barcelona
As has been the case for the last couple of months, Manchester United stand-in skipper Paul Pogba continues to be hotly linked with a switch to Barcelona.
The rumours have only been heightened following reports from The Mirror that the Spanish giants plan to watch every game the Frenchman plays from now until the end of the season, before launching a bid for the World Cup star next summer.
Pogba has already grabbed four goals in six games for United this season, which is the same tally he registered for the whole of the previous campaign.
United fans will be desperate to hold onto their temporary captain, who bagged a brace against Young Boys during the week, but he’s not the only Red Devils player who Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on.
The Sun reports that boss Ernesto Valverde has also targeted Pogba’s teammate Ander Herrera who will be free to talk to European clubs in January as his current contract expires at the end of the season.
The Spaniard, who moved from Athletic Bilbao in 2014 for £28.8m, is yet to pen a new deal at Old Trafford and has made only two Premier League appearances this season, and will be unavailable for the clash against Wolves as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
It’s understood that Pogba remains Barcelona’s number one target but Herrera is very much on the club’s radar.
Pogba will be looking to shine once again this weekend when United host new boys Wolves at Old Trafford, with Jose Mourinho’s men looking to record their fourth win on the spin in all competitions.
