After a year away at the London Stadium, Soccer Aid is back in Manchester as Old Trafford once again hosts the greatest charity football game on the planet. This year there are a whole host of new stars playing and it should be a fantastic occasion that raises loads of money for UNICEF.

Below is all you need to know about the annual event. 

When is Soccer Aid 2023?

Soccer Aid will take place at Old Trafford on Saturday June 11. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.

Who is playing for England in Soccer Aid 2023?

England celebrities: Liam Payne, Tom Grennan, Mo Farah, Steven Bartlett, Paddy McGuiness, Alex Brooker,  Bugzy Malone, Chunkz, Joel Corry, Scarlette Douglas, Danny Dyer.

England former players: Jill Scott ©, Karen Carney, Eni Aluko, Jermain Defoe, Gary Cahill, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Jack Wilshere, David James. 

What a list of star names England have to call upon. Gary Neville will return to Old Trafford alongside Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes while Euros champion Jill Scott captains the team for the first time!

Blimey. Ben Foster, former England goalkeeper has been roped in for this one, while Roberto Carlos, Batistuta and Totti are three gargantuan names from the world of sport. Should be a cracker.

World XI: Mauricio Pochettino, Robbie Keane, Martin Compston.

Yep, that’s right, Mauricio Pochettino will take charge of the Rest of the World eleven before he potentially takes the Chelsea job. He’ll come face to face with Emma Hayes and Harry Redknapp, who will be assisted by the managerial minds of Stormzy and Vicky McClure. 

Which team has the better record at Soccer Aid?

The World XI team is currently winning the head-to-head, with six wins to the England team's five. They have won the last four events on the trot to take the outright lead, winning three of the last four on penalties. 

This time around, England will be hoping it doesn’t get that far.
