Three European Super League clubs are in action… sorry, three of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ are in action this week. Chelsea and Tottenham host Brighton and Southampton respectively while Manchester City travel to Aston Villa.

On Monday Night Football, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville cheered for the Saints, Seagulls and Villans who play the three clubs owned by this week’s football villains. We’ve got you covered on the matches which could have a massive bearing on the season and mean everything after 38 games, or perhaps, nothing at all. That’s where football is at right now, but let’s get into it.

Where: Stamford Bridge

When: Tuesday, April 20

Kick-off time: 8pm

TV: Sky Sports

Chelsea are the next ESL club to come under the spotlight with Thomas Tuchel and his players bound to face intense scrutiny about the proposals, what they know and what they think. However, they will be focused on beating Brighton as they look to leapfrog West Ham and claim fourth place.

Brighton, meanwhile, are six points clear of the drop zone with two games in hand and it seems they are limping to safety, slowly but surely

Sportsman Stat: Chelsea lost their first-ever meeting with the Seagulls back in 1933, but are unbeaten since, winning 12 and drawing two.

Betfred odds: The Blues to win and keep a clean sheet is 11/8

Tottenham vs Southampton

TV: Sky Sports

Tottenham are currently seventh after drawing at Everton on Friday but could soon be playing Real Madrid and Juventus. On Wednesday, they host Southampton and will be managed by former midfielder Ryan Mason following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.

With the Carabao Cup final coming up this weekend, it will be interesting to see if the young boss decides to rest players for the showpiece.

Sportsman Stat: Spurs have won eight of their last nine home meetings against the Saints

Betfred odds: Tottenham to record a 3-0 victory is 14/1

Aston Villa vs Manchester City

Manchester City are eight points clear of Manchester United at the top of the table and a win at Villa would extend that to eleven with five games remaining but they must earn try to earn the win without the injured Kevin De Bruyne. The title, though, should be theirs in the coming weeks.

Dean Smith’s side are in mid-table and will be looking to push for sixth or seventh place with games in hand to still to play.

Sportsman Stat: Man City have won each of their last 14 Premier League matches on a Wednesday, the longest run on a specific day other than Saturday in the competition’s history

Betfred odds: Phil Foden is 8/1 to have 3+ shots on target

Leicester vs West Brom

PA 59268794jpg

Where: King Power Stadium

Kick-off time: 8pm

TV: BT Sport

Having reached the FA Cup final, Jamie Vardy and co will be keen to ensure they finish in the top four too.

Kelechi Iheanacho is enjoying fine form infront of goal and the Baggies will be fearful as they look to stave off relegation. Sam Allardyce’s men have seven games to play and are nine points from safety.

Sportsman Stat: The Foxes are looking for their first double over West Brom since the 1993-94 campaign when the two clubs were in the second tier.

Betfred odds: Kelechi Iheanacho is 11/4 to net the game’s first goal
