PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot has selected which club he would like to join on a free this summer, when his contract expires with the Ligue 1 champions. With interest in his signature from several Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, his next move was always going to be under scrutiny from fans around the world.

Now it appears he has made his decision, which will not be a surprise to those Premier League fans. According to The Mirror, Rabiot has opted to join Spanish giants Barcelona on June 1st, despite Barca also bringing in central midfielder Frenkie de Jong on a deal to join in June.

The Frenchman will earn around £170k a week whilst the £9 million signing on fee is the cherry on top of the cake, in what will be a lucrative deal for the midfielder. Barca will save on any transfer fee so this looks to be a deal that will suit every party,

Nothing has been confirmed by either club but Barcelona confirmed their interest in the player in December, however they did not say a contract had been agreed.

The statement read: "The only contact made was during the month of August and one week ago. In both cases, this contact was made with PSG's sporting management to show FC Barcelona's interest in player Adrien Rabiot."

Barcelona have a wealth of options in the centre of the park as they look to nail down long-term replacements for that magical trio of Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta and Xavi. Now they have Arthur, Ivan Rakitic, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Arturo Vidal along with Busquets and the incoming Frenkie De Jong.

It will be a tough task for him to nail down a place in the side, but who can say no to a move to Barcelona?
