Punter Slaps £20k Bet On Tyson Fury Beating Deontay Wilder

A Betfred punter has backed the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury to win his upcoming bout as if defeat is out of the question.

Fury himself has claimed that he is “one million percent sure” that he will vanquish the WBC champion Deontay Wilder in Los Angeles this Saturday and claim the American’s world title as his own.

The 30-year-old Englishman is in California preparing for the bout at the Staples Centre and seems sure his ascent back to the top of the tree in the heavyweight division is set to continued.

"I stand here sincere, I ain't here for no money, a payday. I'm here to win," Fury told reporters.

"I've never been as fit or ready. In all my career, I've never had two wins back-to-back in the same year like this year. I've always had massive inactivity.

"I'm going to win this fight, one million percent I will overcome him and win."

One punter back in his native land is seemingly just as assured about him getting the win, and has placed a remarkable £20,000 stake on the ‘Gypsy King’ being victorious with UK bookmaker Betfred.

That’s despite Fury being an underdog for the fight at 6/4, with Wilder priced up as a 4/7 favourite and the draw at 20/1.

The wager, which is pictured below, will return a whopping £50,000 should Fury be able to do the business. Quite the Sunday morning that could turn out to be.

No pressure then, big man.
