Roy Keane is never backwards in coming forward and it was no surprise to see the former Man United man lay into the referee at half time of the World Cup Final.
The Irishman could not hold himself back as the panel in the ITV studios discussed the VAR penalty decision in favour of France and he let rip with a typically forthright opinion on the matter.
The French were awarded a penalty after Ivan Perisic was adjudged to have handled the ball from a corner and it took an age for the referee to make the decision, before he eventually pointed to the spot having had the opportunity to study the video.
Roy wasn't happy and most people were on his side.
The straight talking pundit couldn't hold back and referee Nestor Pitana was immediately described as an "idiot"!
Keane has been a star of the World Cup for his views on the tournament and thankfully it wasn't the moment to have decided the match as France pulled clear in the 2nd half to beat Croatia 4-1 in a pulsating final in Moscow.
The referee was also at fault for the first France goal as Pitana gave a soft free-kick which lead to the own goal from Mandzukic, but it was the moment of VAR chaos which angered Keane.
VAR was introduced to avoid clear and obvious mistakes but it almost ruined the World cup Final and Roy Keane was not about to let that happen on his watch.
Let him have it Roy!
