Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is set to earn his 160th international cap for Spain on Monday night when the former World Cup and European Championship winners face England in Seville in the UEFA Nations League.
Speaking ahead of the game Ramos has picked out the Three Lions player that could cause his Spanish side the most problems and it's no surprise to see that it's England's World Cup Golden Boot winner Harry Kane that the veteran defender has chosen as the main performer in Gareth Southgate's side.
When questioned about the Tottenham Hotspur striker, Ramos said: "Harry Kane is physically a fantastic striker but also technically. He can surprise you - but not me as we have prepared for him."
Spain have won their opening two matches of the UEFA Nations League beating England (2-1) and Croatia (6-0) and sit in pole position to top the table, but Ramos has been impressed by England's development under Gareth Southgate and spoke highly of the Three Lions run at the World Cup, where they got to the semi-finals.
The 32-year-old said: ""England had a fantastic World Cup. They have a lot of personality despite being very young, and offensively they are very dangerous." I really like Gareth Southgate as a manager,"
"Maybe historically England haven't always been playing possession football but Southgate likes to play with possession and he is someone I have always followed with curiosity, added Ramos."
But, Ramos continued his appreciation of England marksman Kane, who is aiming to ruffle the Real defender when they potentially clash tomorrow night. Ramos concluded, ""Harry Kane is a very good player. We have to keep his scoring drought going because that will be a good sign for us."
