Real Madrid Eye Up £200m Tottenham Hotspur Star To Cure Goal Drought
11:27, 09 Oct 2018

Real Madrid's goal drought continued at the weekend as they lost 1-0 to Alaves to stretch their winless run in La Liga to three matches and many Los Blancos fans are calling for Julen Lopetegui's sacking after a shoddy start to the season.

Life without Cristiano Ronaldo was never going to be easy, but the Spanish giants have now gone 409 minutes without scoring a goal in all competitions, and they will urgently need to fill the void Ronaldo left if they are to try and win silverware this season and they could be ready to unleash a monster bid for one of the Premier League's elite strikers.

With Eden Hazard sure to be on Real's shopping list in January, they are also ready to lure Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to the Bernabeu, but it will be no surprise to see the north London club have whacked a whopping price tag on the England international's head, and the man that won the Golden Boot at the World Cup in the summer will cost Real a gargantuan £200m.

It's Real's longest goal-scoring drought for 33 years, so the addition of Kane, who has already scored five goals for Spurs in the Premier League this season, will be a much-needed boost to their attacking options as Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are the current top-scorers with four goals apiece in the league, while Isco and Sergio Ramos are next on the list with two goals apiece.

While the eye-watering figure of £200m is beyond the limits of most European clubs, the powerhouse that is Real Madrid will have no problem in unearthing the funds to gain Kane's signature and while Kane has shown strong allegiances to his boyhood club it would be no surprise to see him leave Spurs in January, as we all know Daniel Levy will relish the chance of getting a humongous windfall for his star man, and just like the aforementioned Bale it wouldn't be a shock to see Kane follow in the Welshman footsteps by making the switch from north London to the Spanish capital.
