Cristiano Ronaldo will go head-to-head with Mo Salah on Saturday night as the two star players look to fire their sides to Champions League success. However, ahead of kick-off the Portuguese star said the Egyptian was ‘completely different’ to him.
When asked if he saw any similarities between himself and Salah, Ronaldo replied: “Not really. He’s completely different. He plays with the left foot I play with the right. I’m tall he is a little bit shorter, I play with the head, you know we are different. People want to compare me with other players, I’m different from anyone, Salah is different from anyone, so we are different. But I have to say he has had a fantastic Champions League and do it in a fantastic league, a fantastic season but Saturday, let’s see what’s going to happen.
I’m motivated, I’m always motivated as it is the most important trophy in terms of club so I’m really excited and we had an opportunity again to win new Champions Leagues so we are very excited and motivated, and we knew it it’s going to be a battle but we are prepared.
Real Madrid have the opportunity to win the European Cup three times in a row on Saturday night, a feat last accomplished in 1976 by a brilliant Bayern Munich side, but never accomplished during the Champions League era. Ronaldo is keen to keep his eyes on the prize as he looks to win his fifth Champions League trophy after enjoying success in 2008 at Manchester United before moving to Real and winning three of the last four up for grabs.
