Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's second game as Manchester United manager will take place without the most impressive performer from the first, Anthony Martial, as the Frenchman is reported to be ill.
He’s not in the matchday squad that the Norwegian led into Old Trafford this afternoon, having also missed training yesterday.
"He must have had a bad chef over Christmas," Solskjaer told MUTV. "If it’s food poisoning or something. I don’t know, but he has fallen ill over Christmas."
Martial scored the third goal of five in an impressive 5-1 win on the Norwegian’s first game in his new role but he’ll tackle the second, against Huddersfield at Old Trafford this afternoon.
A former playing legend with the Red Devils, the caretaker has been painting his vision for the short-term future of the club in his first programme notes in the role.
"This is a club built on environment and excitement, on giving young players the opportunity to express themselves. These players have shown that they have the never-say-die spirit that United has always had. There is a lot of talent in our squad and this is a big opportunity for these players to demonstrate that and show everybody why they play for this great club. I want Old Trafford to see that today.
"It has been a difficult season so far, of course, but throughout it all, our supporters have been incredible. This is how I remember the fans from my previous time at the club: Home and away, the players are always able to count on your backing. It is time for that faith and support to be repaid."
