Ryan Moore made it two wins for the day and three for the week by landing the Diamond Jubilee Stakes atop Dream Of Dreams (3/1 FAV), blowing the jockey’s title race wide open in the process.
Dream of Dreams finally got his name on the Diamond Jubilee Stakes trophy after two seconds in the race, giving Sir Michael Stoute, the all-time leading trainer at Royal Ascot, an 82nd winner at the meeting. Hollie Doyle on Glen Shiel (7/1) came in second, Art Power (7/2) was third, whilst Happy Power (20/1) finished fourth of 12 runners.
Jockey Moore is currently second on three wins in the leading jockey table, behind Oisin Murphy on four with just three more races to go.
“Any winner here is a great thrill,” said Stoute after the race.
“He’s got more and more relaxed, he doesn’t go to post like a sprinter, does he? I thought he was gonna pull halfway down. He’s got more relaxed and as a result, he’s gotten a little better.”
Dream of Dreams is now 5-1 favourite for the July Cup at Newmarket.
