Sam Allardyce Reveals He Is A Huge Fan Of Donald Trump But Brands Brexit ''A Complete And Utter Mess''

Sam Allardyce is not afraid to say what he thinks on TalkSport and is a regular guest on Alan Brazil's breakfast show for just that reason.

However today he broke new ground by turning his attention to the crumbling political scene, handing out lavish praise for the American President Donald Trump while criticising Prime Minister Theresa May for her handling of the Brexit negotiations.

Allardyce is often branded as "peak Brexit" and regularly appears in the fine work of Coldwar Steve on Twitter, tucking into a Fray Bentos pie. Host Alan Brazil is another regular, usually in a snoozy state.

"He (Trump) has done more for America than we could ever imagine," said Allardyce. "He's turned their economy around - their economy is booming. We're just making a complete and utter mess and looking so stupid at the political level - it's embarrassing."

When asked why Trump was "so successful", Allardyce replied: "Well he's a businessman isn't he? He knows when the time is right to get the deal done or not get it done. He says, right we're going to have to play a bit of the game here and do a bit of to-and-throwing."

Allardyce has been out of management since he was sacked by Everton last summer but continues to be linked with vacancies as and when they crop up. He was briefly mentioned as a potential replacement for Claude Puel at Leicester City before they appointed Brendan Rodgers.

The video caused an avalanche of tweets questioning Allardyce's political outlook and lots of comments that included the word 'gammon'.
