The rivalry between Celtic and Rangers hardly needs stoking but that is exactly what has happened over the past week following the Old Firm clash last weekend.
The Gers got the better of their cross-town rivals in a 1-0 win at Ibrox to close the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and it has been a positive week all round for the club with two big name signings arriving.
Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis look set to boost the squad bringing with them class and experience and that has lead to one Celtic legend stating that Rangers are now the favourites to win the Scottish title this season.
Chris Sutton is a hero among many Hoops fans but he isn't feeling too confident about his old teams chances at the moment, unless Brendan Rodgers delves into the coffers...

The bookmakers aren't in agreement with Sutton at the moment with the Bhoys currently the clear favourites for yet another title win at 2/9 with their famous rivals as big as 10/3 to chase them down and nab the honours.
Sutton has never been afraid to put his point across and neither are the fans on social media...it is fair to say that there was a massive response to the comments from the former Blackburn striker!

Celtic have responded to Rangers by bringing in the once highly rated Oliver Burke on loan from West Brom but there is no doubt for the first time in years that there is a title race in Scotland.
