''Southampton Is His Level'' - Irate Manchester United Fans Flood Social Media To Demand Jose Mourinho Is Sacked As Manager

This season has already been a roller-coaster for Manchester United fans and it took another major dip on Saturday afternoon as the team could only scrape to a 0-0 draw at home against a relegation threatened Crystal Palace team.

The stalemate means that United are now 14 points behind Man City at the top of the Premier League table before we have even got to December and the calls for Jose Mourinho to be sacked are once again beginning to grow.

The former Chelsea manager had looked like keeping his job after a couple of decent results in the last six weeks but things have turned sour again this week and speculation about his future continues to grow as a result.

Social media was flooded with opinions from irate Manchester United fans in the wake of the Palace result and it was a similar story on phone-ins across the country.

Still astonished so many people are still so adamant there isn’t a manager in world football that couldn’t get more out of this current MUFC squad than Jose Mourinho - (@EWHK70)

Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Palace earns them the graveyard spot on Match of the Day. Once they were the team that the nation wanted to watch ... then along came Jose Mourinho. - (@collinspatk1)

Manchester United have created fewer chances this season than Mark Hughes's Southampton. He's far from the only issue, but that is still an absolutely damning indictment of Jose Mourinho's management. - (@danielstorey85)

Mark Hughes should be sacked and Southampton should go all out for Jose Mourinho, that’s about his level now. - (@sparkysue)

There is certainly a dark cloud hanging over Old Trafford at the moment and it is a Jose Mourinho shaped one according to plenty of fans on social media. The former Chelsea gaffer will need another recovery if he is going to keep his job but the signs are worrying, how long will he last?
