Fresh from playing their part in England's thrilling 31-run win over India in the first Test at Edgbaston, England cricketers Stuart Broad and James Anderson took to the golf course to enjoy their day off. It is fair to say Broad enjoyed the day more than his fellow fast bowler as he posted a video on Twitter of Anderson hitting himself in the face with a golf ball...

Firstly, questions have to be asked about Anderson's initial tee shot as the 36-year-old is seen in a wooded area and standing over the ball, contemplating how he is going to get out of the trees. The 36-year-old swings at the ball but only manages to top it and the balls flies up into his face. Anderson recoils from the impact, whilst Broad can be heard to exclaim, "Oh no! Oh my God! Has it hit you? Has it hurt you?"

Thankfully Anderson was unhurt, leaving Broad free to post the video on his personal Twitter account, along with the words '@jimmy9 is perfectly fine' followed by a series of crying laughter emojis. You can see the video in full below. Stick to cricket, Jimmy.

Anderson and Broad are expected to be rested for some of the Test series against India this summer but they have been named in the England squad for the second match at Lord's, which gets underway on Thursday. Anderson ended with match bowling figures of 4 for 91 and Broad took 2 for 83 as England edged to a thrilling 31-run in the opening match of the series at Edgbaston on Saturday.
