Terence Crawford and Jose Benavidez Jr clashed at the weigh-in for their WBO world welterweight title fight, which will take place at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska with Crawford throwing a punch at his opponent after Benavidez Jr had shoved his fellow American in the chest.
It's been common knowledge that there is bad blood between these two undefeated fighters ahead of their clash on Saturday night, but it all boiled over on Friday after the two boxers had weighed in under the required limit.
Adopting the obligatory face-off, it only took a moment before Benavidez Jr pushed Crawford in the chest with two hands, but the 31-year-old reacted instantly and launched a right hook at his opponent, but Benavidez Jr managed to weave back and avoid what would've been a telling blow from the home favourite.
With both fighters ready to go at it before they make it to the ring, security and coaches from both sides were forced to step in to split the two fighters up, and they will have to wait until Saturday night to unleash their rage on each other in what should be a sensational fight.
Crawford is the more experienced fighter having won all 33 of his career bouts, while Benavidez Jr is nearly five years younger, but has amassed 27 wins out of 27 fights during his glittering career, and it will mean the welterweight clash will see one fighter lose their unbeaten record, and with the expectancy now built up for their monster clash then it will certainly not be a fight to miss.
