The BBC Announce Former England Captains Graham And Peacock Among RLWC Pundits

The broadcaster will also televise all 61 matches across the men's, women's and wheelchair tournaments

The BBC have announced that England's most-capped player and former captain James Graham will be a part of the the network’s punditry team across the three upcoming Rugby League World Cups.

Graham will be joined by fellow former Great Britain and England forwards Jamie Peacock, also an ex-captain, Jon Wilkin and Jamie Jones-Buchanan.

They will be providing expert analysis throughout the tournaments. The team also includes former England Women's prop Danika Priim and hooker Lois Forsell, ex-Wales full-back Jonathan Davies, former Ireland forward Kyle Amor, former New Zealand international Robbie Hunter-Paul, former England playmaker Kevin Brown and former Great Britain player and coach Brian Noble. Mark Chapman, Tanya Arnold and JJ Chalmers will lead the broadcaster's TV coverage.

It has also been announced that all 61 matches across the men's, women's and wheelchair tournaments will be televised by the BBC and it is the first time that all three tournaments will be broadcast live on free-to-air television. The games will be shown live on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, with the broadcaster also releasing a documentary on the England Women's team called 'Women of Steel'.

Well-known Australian commentator Andrew Voss, one of the lead voices of the NRL season, is part of the broadcast team alongside BBC rugby league correspondent, Dave Woods.

Philip Bernie, BBC Sport's head of TV, said: "It is a unique event with the men's, women's and wheelchair tournaments taking place at the same time and the BBC coverage across all platforms will reflect that.

"It is a privilege to be asked to be the home of this great tournament."

The coverage begins on Saturday October 15 with the opening game between England and Samoa at St James' Park in Newcastle. The BBC will also deliver commentary of 23 games on Radio 5 Live, as well as producing a weekly podcast every Monday on the latest happenings from the tournament.

The tournaments will conclude on November 19 as all three finals will be played over three successive days across the final weekend.
