Tottenham Hotspur fans are desperate for their new stadium to be ready for the Champions League round of 16 when they face Borussia Dortmund.
The draw was made in Switzerland this morning, matching Spurs with the Bundesliga team whose stadium inspired the steep bank of seating which can be seen at the site of the old White Hart Lane.
So when Tottenham's official account tweeted news of the draw, the replies all had the same theme: "Get off Twitter and finish the stadium."
On Sunday, around 6,000 Spurs fans got their first look inside the new stadium as part of a familiarisation event. The overwhelming reaction from the Tottenham faithful was "WOW!"
Last week we reported that UEFA had told Tottenham they had to make a decision on where they were going to stage their Champions League game, adding they wouldn't be allowed to switch venues. Spurs' Premier League game against Manchester United - which many believed would be the first to be played at the new stadium - was confirmed for Wembley. It's more likely the first game at the stadium will be against Newcastle United or Leicester City.
Spurs' game against Borussia Dortmund is scheduled for four days after the game against Leicester which means the first European game at their new home will be the same as their last. Spurs were facing a huge challenge against the Bundesliga side in the Europa League Round of 16 back in March 2016, trailing 3-0 from the first leg. Spurs couldn't come back and ended up losing 5-1 with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring twice.
