Insane weight transformations aren’t exactly uncommon in boxing.

We are inundated with stunning stories about the incredible lengths boxers go to get in ‘fight-ready’ shape, and it’s therefore no surprise when they subsequently cut loose in the aftermath of a bout.

The former four-weight world champion Roberto Duran used to party hard, then shed the weight, and more recently Ricky Hatton is a famous British example of a boxer who piled on the pounds in the “off season” due to his love of pints and fast food, only for ‘Ricky Fatton’ to morph into 'The Hitman' on fight night without an ounce of fat in sight.

However, it’s difficult to top the awe-inspiring transformation of one Tyson Fury, something that has been highlighted on Twitter by his promoter Frank Warren.

Warren took to the social media platform to showcase the hard yards Fury has put in get himself fight ready for his eagerly anticipated bout against Deontay Wilder, which takes place across the pond in Los Angeles on Saturday 1st December.

It was a year ago last November (2017) that Hatton posted a picture of himself and Fury, titled 'In the shape of our lives'. Let’s just say the snap wasn’t the most flattering - at one point ‘The Gypsy King’ had reportedly ballooned up to 27 stone, while a year ago today (November 9th) Fury’s rival Anthony Joshua tweeted:

"Tyson Fury. Get fit you fat f***."

Fast-forward to November 2018 and the contrast between Fury today, and Fury a year ago, is simply staggering - check the pictures out for yourself in the tweet below.

The 30-year-old has metamorphosed into a mean, lean fighting machine, with his incredible weight loss full testament to how hard the heavyweight has worked to get himself fight ready, as he bids to snatch the WBC belt off Wilder in three weeks time.
