The Monster World Record Fee That Real Madrid Would Have To Pay Tottenham For Harry Kane

Real Madrid are refusing to give up on their mission to lure Harry Kane over to Spain in a transfer rumour that will simply not go away, much to the irritation of Spurs supporters.

Kane, the 2018 World Cup Golden Boot winner, has gone on to score 14 Premier League goals so far this season - no player has more - but his exploits in front of goal means that he remains firmly on Real Madrid’s radar.

However, in a bid to swat away the Spanish giants Tottenham have slapped a monster fee on their star man.

£310million.

Yes, that’s right. Real would have to shell out an eye-popping £310m in order to persuade Spurs to even think about parting with their prized asset, according to The Sun.

To put that into perspective, the current record is the stonking £198m PSG splashed out for Barcelona’s Neymar back in 2017.

Real Madrid may recently have got their hands on yet another FIFA Club World Cup but Los Blancos have notably struggled since the summer departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

Gareth Bale and co are currently way down in 5th in La Liga - just two points above Getafe - and are already a whopping 10 points adrift of leaders Barcelona following last week’s shock defeat at home to Real Sociedad.

With Ronaldo no longer running the show the club have failed to fire up front, scoring only 26 league goals so far this season - Barcelona have nearly double that (50) - meaning they are determined to rejuvenate their campaign by securing the services for Kane.

The England skipper will be looking to move ahead of rivals Mo Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the Premier League goalscoring charts this afternoon when Spurs host Man Utd at Wembley.
