PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has suggested that Edison Cavani won't play in this week's Champions League Round of 16 tie with Manchester United.
The Uruguayan had to go off injured during yesterday's game against Bordeaux shortly after he scored from the penalty spot.
It's a potentially big blow for the French team but also a boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United.
Speaking on French TV today, Tuchel was asked about Cavani's chances of playing at Old Trafford.
"No good news for Edi this morning," said Tuchekl. "He had exams yesterday and he still has exams here today in our training centre. My feeling is that it's going to be very difficult for Ed to play, but we have to wait a little longer because he's taking exams now.
"The club will say a little later today. In my opinion, the news will not be very very good. "
When questioned about Cavani's chances of playing at Old Trafford, Tuchel replied: "A little hope, very small, but yes, we still have hope. But the first exams are not good ."
Initially, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel did not make a change but after talking to the player on the touchline, Cavani did not reappear and was replaced by Kylian Mbappe.
The Paris side are already with their injured Brazilian star Neymar for the tie so any potential lay-off for Cavani could deal their hopes of beating United a huge blow.
United warmed up for the tie with a comfortable 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday lunchtime. Paul Pogba scored twice and Anthony Martial was also on the scoresheet as a United team that included six changes proved too strong for the relegation-threatened London side.
