Alvaro Morata and Ross Barkley have been much-maligned during their time with Chelsea but there are signs that both men are starting to find their feet following a comprehensive 4-0 win over Burnley that left Blues fans purring.

Morata scored his third goal in four games for Chelsea as the Blues maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with a comfortable win at Turf Moor.

Chelsea fans took to Twitter to show their love...

Alvaro Morata acting like a man and scoring? It’s the gloves, it’s the bloody gloves. [@UberChelseaFC]

Morata has been absolutely brilliant so far today. Should have two goals, but all that matters is the one so far. His movement and link up has been phenomenal, reminiscent of his first couple months here. [@LavCFC]

Morata is joy to watch today unbelievable keep it up.His doing all the work today running into the Midfield intercepting and running back forwards. But fans won’t talk about it.they will only be talking about his old miss.Stff this is the morata I want to be seeing from now on [@MorataAm9]

Morata's yellow card was unnecessary, man didn't even argue with the ref like he used to last season. Overall Morata's attitude has been really positive, even after getting booked he smiled and went back to his position. Very impressed by him today. [@FootyWriter_]

Friendly reminder that Alvaro Morata has more Premier League goals than Firmino this season. [@Chelsea_related]

It was Ross Barkley who arguably stole the show with a goal and two assists, meaning he has now been directly involved in six goals in his last three league appearances - three goals and three assists. In fact, Barkley became the first Englishman to score in three successive Premier League games for Chelsea since Frank Lampard in 2013.

Morata has looked good so far. Absolutely needed without Hazard. But the real story here is Barkley. The ball to Morata was inch perfect, and don’t look now, but Barkley is starting to do exactly what we need out of the LCM spot. [@AlexGoldberg_]

Ross Barkley with ANOTHER assist! I AM RUNNING OUT OF WORDS. [@UberCFC]

Ross Barkley is the next Lampard. #BURCHE [@nabeelahmxd]
