Regarding the piece appearing in this section on August 15 2017 under the title "Furious Barcelona Fans Leads Bartomeu Resignation Campaign", the Management Direction Board of The Sportsman publicly retracts some of the manifestations contained in said piece, considering that they are not reliable and/or true at all, and taking into account that they have not been properly verified.
In particular: Under no circumstances, neither FC Barcelona nor its President have tried to favor the interests of any third company by means of a player's hiring, which has been strictly based on the sporting criteria. In accordance with the foregoing, the Management Direction Board of The Sportsman apologise to FC Barcelona and its President for the offences caused by the piece."
