Deontay Wilder is an an unbeaten WBC world heavyweight champion who goes into his fight against Tyson Fury next weekend as the clear favourite to continue his relentless march through the division.
The American punches like a mule and so far in the paid ranks, has proven unbeatable.
That hasn't always been the case though with some amazing footage emerging of the WBC title holder being wiped out during his days as an amateur boxer.
Wilder was stopped during a bout in 2008 with Russian fighter Evgenyi Romanov and the footage is pretty remarkable. The now 33-year-old fighter was knocked all round the ring by the Russian thanks to a series of right hands before he goes down and the ref finally puts the future star out of his misery by waving the contest off.
The criticism of Wilder has always been that he has never fought anyone of note during his pro career and this video certainly proves that there are also doubts about the chin of the current champion.
Tyson Fury will certainly have taken notice of the video in his preparation for the fight in LA as he looks for a way to reclaim a version of the world heavyweight title for a second time during his career.
The conventional wisdom is that wilder will get to Fury at some point and knock out the Gypsy king but maybe the Brit will be thinking the same himself having seen this video.
Deontay Wilder maybe unbeaten as a pro, but he clearly isn't unbeatable..
