Alexandre Lacazette has launched an attack on English football fans in an interview given to a publication in France.

Le Progres are reporting that the Arsenal striker has criticised football fans in his new country with the atmosphere at the stadiums coming under particular criticism from the former Lyon striker.

The Frenchman has been one of the stars of the season so far for Arsenal this term but these latest comments may not endear himself too much to the faithful at the Emirates Stadium.

"I miss Ligue 1's atmosphere. In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters. There's a better atmosphere in French stadiums."

There is no doubt that Lacazette has a point with his comments with the Emirates Stadium notorious for its lack of atmosphere, especially in day time games with ticket prices in the Premier League having a major impact on the every day football fans ability to go and support their local club.

This is not just the case at Arsenal but up and down the country in the Premier League era and the 27-year-old has clearly picked up on that fact during his short time in the country so far.

On the pitch, things are going much better for the Gunners with six consecutive wins on the bounce in the Premier League, thanks in no small part to the former Lyon man who looks to be building a fantastic relationship with team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal host Leicester City on Monday night in their first game after the International break and the fans have been put on notice...start shouting!
