Reed heads into the fourth and final day as the tournament leader on -14, with McIlroy his closest challenger three shots back on -11. The duo have subsequently been placed together in what promises to be a pulsating and passionate final pairing, that simply cannot be missed.

If it's anything like the captivating clash between the pair at the 2016 Ryder Cup then we are all in store for an absolute cracker.

Their mesmerising final day battle in Minnesota has gone down as one of the greatest duels in golf history.

The players fought tooth and nail at Hazeltine National in front of a rip-roaring and highly-charged crowd, with one hole in particular standing out: The par-3 8th.

McIlroy, under pressure, stepped up and buried an unbelievable putt from a staggering 65ft, before roaring “Come on! I can’t hear you!” in the direction of the American support. Spine-tingling.

But no.

Reed, as cool as ice amidst the heat of battle, then stepped up and sunk a 25ft putt of his own to send the home fans into raptures.

The American then turned to McIlroy and cheekily waggled his finger, before the duo showed great sportsmanship with a fist pump and pat on the back as they strolled off to the next hole.

In the end Reed and America came out on top, but who will be the victor this time around?
