Harry Kane was back among the goals on Saturday as Tottenham’s star man helped his side edge past Wolves in a 3-2 thriller at Molineux.
The victory moved Spurs above Arsenal into 4th, while Kane’s goal cannonballed his overall Premier League tally to 114 goals, a simply superb tally at the age of just 25. This, in turn, jumped him up into 18th spot in the overall goalscoring charts, above Gunners legend Ian Wright.
Kane’s most recent goal also brought to light an interesting statistic, as the sharpshooter has now remarkably found the back of the net against 27 of the 28 clubs he has faced during his time playing in the Premier League.
In fact, the only team he hasn’t scored against is new boys Cardiff City, with whom Spurs beat 1-0 at Wembley a month ago - Eric Dier got the only goal of the game.
However, Kane will be gunning to put the final piece in this personal goalscoring jigsaw later this season when his troops travel to Wales to face the Bluebirds on New Year’s Day.
Should he score he’d complete the clean sweep of goals against all 28 Premier League teams he’s come up against. And this record would remain intact until at least the following season when he’s likely to face between one-to-three new clubs from the Championship.
Meanwhile, Kane’s strike in the Midlands means that he’s scored in 27 of his last 27 league away games, a tally he will be bidding to enhance away to Crystal Palace next weekend, although first off he has a crunch Champions League clash at home to PSV to look forward to...
