Celtic are continuing their busy spell in the loan market with the deal to sign Timothy Weah fro PSG close to being completed.
Sky Sports are reporting that the talented youngster is on the verge of signing for the Glasgow giants on loan until the end of the season in a move which Brendan Rodgers will hope gives his team the edge in the Scottish title race.
Rangers have been all over the news over the past week with big name signings arriving at Ibrox in the wake of their 1-0 win in the Old Firm clash but the Parkhead side are clearly not ready to role over and have their tummies tickled just yet.
Jermain Defoe is set to arrive at Ibrox with plenty of experience and goal scoring ability and Weah will arrive at Celtic at the complete other end of the scale.
Currently best known for being the son of football legend George Weah, the 18-year-old is yet to make a major breakthrough at senior club level with PSG but clearly possess plenty of talent.
The New Yorker has been in Paris since 2014 but has only made five appearances for the first team and he will be hoping to use the spell in Scotland as the ideal opportunity to step out of the shadow of his famous father. The tricky striker has played eight times for the USA at senior level which is another indicator of his quality and Celtic fans will be hoping he can add some much needed depth to the forward options for the remainder of the season.
