''Two Faced Weasel'' - Angry Celtic And Leicester City Fans Exchange Insults As Brendan Rodgers Confirms King Power Move

The sack race is always one departure away from exploding into life and that has been the case today with Leicester City and Celtic hitting the headlines.

The Foxes have confirmed tonight that Brendan Rodgers has left Celtic to join the Premier League club to be their permanent gaffer after Claude Puel was sacked on Sunday afternoon.

The former Premier League champions have been linked with Rodgers on a number of occasions in recent months but they have finally got their man after reacting quickly and it is fair to say that the fans of the two clubs are not going to be on each others Christmas card list.

Celtic have also acted swiftly following the loss of their manager with former coach Neil Lennon returning to Parkhead to take control for the remainder of the season with the Bhoys bang in position to clean up north of the border once again.

The former Liverpool manager has jumped ship earlier than some had thought with most believing that Rodgers would see out the remainder of the season and predictably that hasn't gone down too well amongst the Celtic faithful on social media...

hope yous get relegated - (@AT_1967)

They won 1 league title in their whole history and now want to be an "ambitious big club".  - (@AFC_Chill)

Wish you nothing but bad luck , you walked out with 11 games to go 11 games that could and hopefully still will see us win trebles again, your NOT A CELTIC MAN - (@bhoyforlife)

This two faced weasel better not show his face at Celtic again. A greedy mercenary who is only interested in two things - himself and money - (@Deebhoy)

Leicester fans appear to be delighted with their new man though and have predictably hit back at the fans from Scotland who are slating their club...

Wants to be in a big league not a tinpot league In scotland that’s equivalent to our English championship - (@HAZZABAZZA29)

After years of managing a Championship level side who wouldn't want to step up another level back in the Prem. - (@Hadesr66)

There is clearly no love lost between the two sets of fans but only time will tell if Rodgers has made the right decision to jump ship. The foxes will be eager to see an attractive style of football back at the King Power whilst Celtic fans will surely be delighted if Neil Lennon can deliver all three trophies to Parkhead once again but for the time being at least, the jury is clearly out.
