It’s now a touch under two weeks until Tyson Fury takes on Deontay Wilder on December 1st in the most eagerly anticipated heavyweight fight of 2018.
Fury’s transformation has been simply extraordinary, with The Gypsy King now in tip-top shape as he bids to snatch the WBC heavyweight belt from Wilder’s grasp.
Fury’s physical revision is there for all to see, while the lineal champion has now revealed that a self-imposed sex ban is an integral part of his approach to December’s showdown at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
“It is rare that you have two giants of 6ft 9in in my case and Wilder at 6ft 7in getting ready to punch each other in the face,” Fury told The Daily Mail.
“At some point we are going to hit each other but I am blessed with this sixth sense for seeing danger coming.
“I don't want anything to interfere with that between men with our power there is always the danger of brain damage.
“So no, there has been no sex for 12 weeks.”
This is in stark contrast to Fury’s rival Wilder who recently revealed that he once had sex just two hours before his first professional fight 10 years ago against Ethan Cox, which he would go on to win via second-round knockout.
The American has since amassed a stunning total of 40 wins from 40 fights, a staggering 39 of which have been KOs.
However, Fury is also unbeaten with a record of 27 wins, 19 knockouts.
But, something's simply got to give in a couple of weeks, with the winner expected to go on and fight Anthony Joshua in a blockbuster 2019 showpiece spectacular.
