UAE T20 Cricket Match Under Investigation As Dubious Dismissals Take Social Media By Storm

Here is the match footage from the Ajman All Stars League that is going viral on social media.

The recording shows that the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit is investigating a match recently played in the UAE which shows some, how should we say, dubious dismissals!

Cricket has long been in the spotlight when it comes to betting scandals, whether it be South African Hansie Cronje's match fixing in April 2000, or the case of three Pakistani players colluding to play no balls against England in the 2010 test match at Lords.

The ICC have a tough on their hands but this could be one of the clearest examples yet.

The match involving the Dubai Stars and Sharjah Warriors saw the Warriors make 136 runs from their twenty overs. In reply, the Dubai Stars' wickets fell for just 46 runs, including those shown in the video below. There were five stumpings and three run outs in the innings and the first dismissal in the video beggars belief!

Former England captain Michael Vaughan retweeted the video in Twitter with just the word "Unbelievable".

The ICC Anti-Corruption Unit's General Manager has made a statement reading:

"There is currently an ICC Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) investigation underway in relation to the Ajman All Stars League held recently in Ajman, UAE.

"The ICC Anti-Corruption Unit works to uphold integrity in cricket and in keeping with that role, we are talking to players and officials and will not make any further comment at this time."

Judge for yourselves!!
