Unbeaten Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Makes FIVE Changes For Crunch Clash Against PSG
There’s now less than an hour to go until the mouth-watering first-leg clash between Manchester United and PSG, who meet for the first time in a competitive fixture.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already thrived in both the Premier League and FA Cup, taking 10 wins from a combined 11 unbeaten matches, and he’ll now be bidding to extend his unbeaten start in a third competition: Champions League.
The Norwegian has opted to make a whopping FIVE changes to the Red Devils side that swatted aside struggling Fulham last weekend in a dominant 3-0 win at Craven Cottage, as Ashley Young, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Jesse Lingard, and Marcus Rashford all come in.
Meanwhile, the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez are on the bench for the hosts.
Meanwhile, PSG have been hit by injuries to star attacking players Neymar and Edinson Cavani who are both in the treatment room for the French giants, while defender Thomas Meunier is also on the sidelines.
Boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed that the absence of Neymar and Cavani are big blows to the club - the duo have scored a combined 41 goals this season.
"Would Man Utd miss Pogba or Rashford? Of course. Neymar is one of our best players and one of the best players in Europe. We will miss him a lot. And now Cavani is out."
However, Tuchel still has a number of seasoned and talented players at his disposal, including goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon whose defence will consist of Thilo Kehrer, Presnel Kimpembe, Thiago Silva, and Juan Bernat.
The midfield features Marco Verratti, Marquinhos, Julian Draxler, and Dani Alves on the wing, with former Man Utd player Angel Di Maria on the other flank behind World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe.
The teams will kick-off at 8pm tonight, while the second-leg will take place in Paris on Wednesday 6th March.
