Amanda Nunes stunned Los Angeles, the state of California, and the entire watching world after delivering a blistering first-round knockout of Cris Cyborg in sensational scenes at UFC 232.

The two Brazilians went at it in Inglewood but it took just over 50 seconds for Nunes to put Cyborg on the canvas.

Nunes came out of the gates absolutely rampant, but took some damage to the face from her opponent before catching a fantastic right hook on Cyborg’s chin and from there, was nigh-unstoppable.

Cyborg was stunned against the grate and went to ground after direct hit after direct hit by Nunes, although immediately tried pulling herself back up before taking another blistering punch to the cheek and the fight was over.

She immediately climbed out of the ring went to shake UFC head honcho Dana White’s hand, now aware that she is the became the first female in UFC history to simultaneously hold two belts after knocking out Cyborg.

Furthermore, she's also only the third fighter in UFC history to achieve this after Conor McGregor, and Daniel Cormier.

Nunes’ stock has been rising considerably. In 2016,  ‘the baddest woman on the planet’ Amanda Nunes won the UFC women’s bantamweight title with a first-round submission of Miesha Tate at UFC 200.

Six months after that win Nunes astonishingly defended that title for the first time in December 2016 at UFC 207 by beating ex-champion Ronda Rousey.
