Justin Thomas has emerged as one of the stars of the sport over the past 18 months and the American is once again set to make plenty of headlines this week at Carnoustie.
The American hit the news during the tournament at Birkdale last year as he donned a classic shirt and tie look for the oldest of the four major tournaments and Thomas has taken to social media to confirm the popular ensemble will be back.
The Ralph Lauren outfit is one of four Thomas has at the ready for this week in Carnoustie, assuming he needs four that is...
Things didn't go to plan in 2017 as Thomas missed the cut and the 25-year-old will be eager to at least get the chance to wear the four outfits he posted on Instagram this time.
Since that Birkdale failure though, Thomas has seen his stock rise with his first major win at the USPGA seeing him join that elite band of players vying for success in the top ten of the world rankings.
The 25-year-old is yet to make an impression in the British Open during his career but he is as talented as anyone in the field and comes into the race for the Claret Jug in decent form. A winner of five tournaments in 2017, Thomas won the Honda Classic earlier this year and also managed a top 20 finish in the Masters which is his best showing yet at Augusta.
Punters who fancy the man from Kentucky this week will be worried about his lack of experience in the Open Championship but he tops the money list on the PGA Tour in 2018 which highlights both his consistency and high level of play.
One of the biggest hitters on the tour, Thomas will be one of the players the patrons flock to see in Scotland over the next four days with fireworks, one way or the other, almost guaranteed from one of the great young stars of the game.
Thomas is going to be a player to watch his week, however he performs with the clubs in hand, with his eye catching outfits likely to be one of the big fashion talking points of this years championship.
Let's hope he gets a chance to show off the shirt and tie combo on Sunday down the stretch!
