Spanish side Villarreal have really raised the bar with their announcement of former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla. The popular Spaniard rejoins Villarreal 7 years after leaving them but he is still incredibly popular in that part of the world.
Thousands of fans turned out for his unveiling at the Estadio de la Cerámica and they were treated to quite the show. Usually, when a new singing comes to your club you are usually greeted with a smiling picture or possibly a fancy video of them doing a few keepy-uppies but not at Villarreal.
The La Liga club brought in a magician to unveil their big-name signing and he certainly delivered. The trick starts with an empty glass cylinder being shown to the crowd. That cylinder is the filled with smoke for about a minute before the smoke is then let out of the top of the glass case, revealing a posing and delighted Santi Cazorla.
The 33-year-old is then let out of his case to a rapturous applause by the waiting Villarreal public who are delighted to have one of their own back at the club. Cazorla joins having been through a really tough time lately, almost losing his leg after contracting gangrene on an infected tendon.
Eventually, he had to have a skin graft along with an intensive course of antibiotics but he has not played since that injury. Villarreal will be hoping he can rediscover some of his best form as he is a top quality midfielder on his day.
