Tune in live right here on this page as Betfred League 1 table-toppers Dewsbury Rams travel to Borough Park to take on Workington Town. The game kicks off at 3pm and you won't miss a minute from 2.45pm, right here on The Sportsman.
Dewsbury currently sit at the top of League 1 after making a two-from-two start to the season, having followed up a 38-18 victory away to the North Wales Crusaders with a 50-10 hammering of Midlands Hurricanes last time out. And Workington also got their campaign off to a great start, beating London Skolars 58-16 at the New River Stadium in their opening fixture.
That means that two unbeaten records will go head-to-head on Sunday week as Anthony Murray coaches Town on their home patch for the first time in competitive action.
Both clubs were relegated from the Betfred Championship in 2022, and the side of the respective outfits meant that the pair were immediately installed among the favourites for promotion from the third tier this time around. That makes this fascinating encounter an early contender for a season-defining promotion play-off.
Dewsbury are now led by Liam Finn, who took over midway through their relegation campaign, and they have made the most of the alterations the former half-back has made to their approach during the close season. The Rams also boast former Super League stars in the likes of Paul Sykes and Dale Ferguson, the latter of whom came off the bench to score twice in their big win over Midlands in Round 2.
Workington were knocked out of the Betfred Challenge Cup last time out, being edged out 24-20 by Doncaster. Dewsbury made a more successful start to their cup campaign, easing past Rochdale Hornets 38-18.
