What A Stallion! Former Arsenal Ace Andrey Arshavin Leaves Night Club On A Horse

Amid the plethora of stories surrounding Manchester United's interim appointment of their former hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a rather strange incident has hit the headlines regarding the ex-Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin.

The Russian, who looked like he'd consumed a pint or 10, has bizarelly been filmed wobbling out of a strip club in St Petersburg - Maximus, we're told -  with a couple of ladies in tow, before riding off into the distance on a horse! - A sentence I'd never thought I'd ever write.

Worst still, he reportedly didn't pay for the horse ride, which apparently costs £35...

The story is unusual in itself, but Arshavin has suffered a big backlash in his homeland as he's married, and the Daily Mail reports that his wife has reacted to the news by closing her social media accounts "until the dust settles".

Arshavin drew the curtains on his playing days earlier this month, and is now working as head of a youth product at former club Zenit, a project which attracts the most talented kids from all over Russia.

Arshavin became a fans favourite at Arsenal during his time at the club between 2009 to 2013. The Russian, who scored 31 goals in 144 appearances for the Gunners, is best remembered for that stunning four-goal haul during the thrilling 4-4 Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield - becoming only the sixth player in the leagues history to bag four goals on the road.

Arshavin would return to Zenit, where he'd win a couple more Russian league titles, before switching to FC Kairat.
