5th - Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest) 7.83

Nottingham Forest have had a strong start upon their long-awaited return to the Premier League, picking up three points from two matches thanks to their victory over West Ham United at the City Ground on Sunday. The Welsh defender had an impressive game, causing the Hammers several problems with his runs and his balls in to striker Taiwo Awoniyi and even got into some good shooting positions himself.

4th - Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) 7.84

Like Arsenal, their young Brazilian has had an excellent start to the season, scoring two goals. Martinelli has looked sharp on the left side of Arsenal’s attack and he currently boasts a 92.2% pass success rate. With two strong performances and two victories to go with them, it looks like there is more to come from him.

3rd - Fabian Schar (Newcastle United) 7.99

The Swiss defender has enjoyed a positive start to the Premier League campaign, keeping two clean sheets and scoring an absolute screamer to help his side to a four-point haul. The centre-back has been commanding in his box and has read situations well. Schar has also demonstrated his ability to play out from the back as he currently has a pass success rate of 69.4%.

2nd - Kevin De Bruyne 8.07

Here is a player who you would definitely have expected to feature in this list. Manchester City’s midfield maestro has picked up where he left off at the end of 2021-22. He has been involved in three goals so far for the reigning champions (one goal, two assists) and you know he’s only just getting started. The Belgian is renowned for his passing abilities and has a 88.8% success rate in that department.

1st - Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) 8.07

Arsenal’s new striker has settled in quickly to his new surroundings in north London and while he was not able to get off the mark in their opening-night victory against Crystal Palace, he more than made up for it against Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium. The Brazilian was involved in all four of his side’s goals against the Foxes (two goals, two assists), scooping up the Player of the Match award in the process. As he showed during his time at Manchester City, he knows how to knock the ball around with precision and he has been able to bring teammates into play as he boasts a 73.7% pass success rate.
