Maurizio Sarri has received a vote of confidence from star player Eden Hazard in a week which saw Chelsea humiliated 6-0 by Manchester City.
Blues fans were in a state of despair after they were schooled at the Etihad and social media was flooded with calls for the former Napoli boss to go.
But Hazard, who is widely tipped to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, said his style of play is a much better fit with Sarri than it ever was under former boss Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager has been linked with a third stint at Chelsea but apparently, this is something that wouldn't appeal to the Belgian international.
"All the managers I've played for have given me something," Hazard told the Chelsea website. "From when I started with Claude Puel at Lille, to now with Maurizio Sarri. They all see football in different ways which is why I'm the player I am. They have all given me important advice.
"Jose Mourinho was special, but the way Sarri and Rudi Garcia (former Lille coach) like to play is more like my philosophy of football, but they've all given me a lot."
Sarri enjoyed a strong start to the season as he replaced Antonio Conte but things have gone from bad to worse in recent weeks with heavy defeats against Bournemouth and City highlighting the team's plight. Questions have been asked about Sarri's tactics as he continues to play N'Golo Kante out of position while Jorginho remains a constant.
