Will Mo Salah Celebrate If He Scores For Liverpool Against Manchester United?

Well, it’s hard to know.

The Egyptian forward hasn’t cut the grinning figure this term as he did during the last one, with his stern expression in goal celebrations raising concern among some sections of the Liverpool support.

He did the same after the goal that put his side through to the Champions League knockout stages with a decisive goal against Napoli on Tuesday.

His teammate Virgil van Dijk didn’t seem so sure either when asked by Gary Lineker on BT Sport.

"Well we still don't know,” he said.

"I think he's not feeling the same as he did last year. Last year everything was coming easy and this year he's struggling in a few of the games, having chances and not scoring, probably he's trying to prove himself and well today once again he done.”

The Dutchman then corrected his course somewhat and appeared to want to keep the mood upbeat ahead of a massive game for the title contenders against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

"He's scoring goals. He's smiling. He can't smile every second of the day but he's enjoying it I think.”

"He's scoring his goals, he's working hard, defensively as well. We don't need to see any negative things about that (goal celebration) so we just need to focus on the good things."

Should Salah score against Liverpool’s old rivals and send Anfield into raptures, he’ll raise a smile, surely.

If not, about the only worry fans of the Reds have had in domestic terms this season will continue to niggle.
