Cheltenham Festival winner Laurina heads a a list of 11 horses entered for the International Hurdle on Saturday.
The five-year-old produced one of the most dazzling racing results of the entire season back in March to win the Mares' Novices' Hurdle in remarkable style and her return is eagerly anticipated.
Talk of a potential Champion Hurdle tilt or Laurina has been mentioned a number of times, but this weekend could be the first chance for punters to judge her potential for that race in open company.
The contest this weekend is one of the highlights of the two day Cheltenham International meeting and at this stage it certainly has the look of an excellent renewal.
The New One will grab much of the attention with the ten-year-old looking to win the race for a fourth time for trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. The former Festival winner will be tried in headgear for the race with connections suggesting this week that the stable stalwart could be retired if he fails to fire back at his favourite track.
Summerville Boy could also take his chance on Saturday with Tom George hoping his Supreme Novices' Hurdle hero can bounce back after a disappointing seasonal debut in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle last time out.
Other entries for the International Hurdle at the five day stage include We Have A Dream, who was the best of the juvenile bunch last term and Call Me Lord, who hacked up in a Grade 2 at Sandown in April and remains a fascinating contender going into this winter.
