The World Cup is just around the corner and here at The Sportsman we are giving you the chance to win a huge £25k for free! The group stages kick off in under two weeks with Russia v Saudi Arabia getting football’s best tournament underway in Moscow.

All you have to do to win this massive prize is predict six World Cup outcomes. They are the winner of the tournament, which two teams will contest the final, the Golden Boot winner, the Player of the Tournament, when England will get knocked out and the side who will finish last in Group H. Do those six things and you can win this life-changing amount of money!

Brazil are favourites for the tournament, slightly edging out current holders Germany and a talented Spain squad.

Here at The Sportsman we have given our picks below! You can play yourself here!

World Cup Winners?

Germany. The current holders will certainly make it to the semi-finals without any issues and despite the talented squads of France and Brazil, the German’s experience will shine through and we will be seeing them lift the trophy in July.

Which Two Teams Will Be In The Final?

Germany and Brazil. Germany, as stated above, will be there alongside Brazil. Neymar and co will be determined to make it to the final and avenge what happened in 2014 but they will just fall short. A talented squad and a repeat of 2002 final.

Who Will Be Top Goalscorer? Neymar

Brazil should go deep into the tournament and Neymar can carry them there. Having recovered from his injury he looks as fresh as ever and can do serious damage in Russia. Three relatively easy group fixtures should help him.

Who Will Be FIFA Player Of The Tournament?

Neymar. As above. The top scorer is in with a serious chance of winning Player of the Tournament and Neymar will be integral to this Brazil side. Compared with the winners Germany, who have no one standout player, Neymar should get the nod on this one.

How Far Will England Go?

Quarter-Finals. As Bell and Spurling sang in this year’s World Cup song: “I think we’re gonna do alright mate.” Gareth Southgate has got his side playing a certain brand of football which tthey seem comfortable with, especially again the lower ranked sides. We should get out the group with wins in our opening two games before succumbing to Belgium.

A last 16 tie against either Japan, Colombia, Poland or Senegal looks dangerous, but winnable, before crashing out to one of the big boys. A quarter-final appearance must be considered a success for England after recent tournament performances.

Who Will Finish Bottom Of Group H?

Japan. Colombia are the strongest team in this group with World Cup pedigree whilst Poland and Senegal, in Lewandowski and Mane, boast world class players who should see them pick up a few points. A close group but the Japanese are going to finish bottom of this one.
