Switzerland certainly silenced their critics as they came out on top in a five-goal thriller with Serbia to seal their place in the round of 16 and they can now look ahead to a battle with Portugal next Tuesday.
Cameroon scored an injury-time winner to shock tournament favourites Brazil and secure a famous 1-0 win that will go down in history, even if it didn’t quite get them through to the last 16.

Otto Addo has stepped down as Ghana manager. The Black Stars' World Cup journey ended with a 2-0 defeat against Uruguay today.
Cameroon vs Brazil
Serbia vs Switzerland
Another Ghana v Uruguay fixture at the World Cup, another penalty nightmare for the Black Stars. And again Luis Suarez played a pivotal role in their demise.
The problem for Uruguay this time was that they still couldn't do enough to avoid a group-stage exit.
Wolves' Hee-Chan Hwang scored a 90th-minute winner to keep South Korea in the World Cup.
Group H ended in a familiarly chaotic manner, as South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1 to confirm their spot in the last 16, as Uruguay were unable to boost their goal tally against Ghana in their 2-0 win.
URUGUAY AND GHANA ARE OUT!
Portugal and South Korea progressed after South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1, and Uruguay were unable to score enough goals to confirm their spot in the next round.
Uruguay will not be awarded a penalty. The referee deemed that the contact on the ball by Daniel Amartey was enough, despite it being very little.
Darwin Nunez goes down under the challenge of Daniel Amartey in the box, but he might've handballed it in the build up too. Big decision coming.
Uruguay take a two-goal lead into the half-time break, with both goals coming from Giorgian de Arrascaeta. Andre Ayew could've scored for Ghana from a penalty but failed to beat the keeper with a weak penalty.
ANOTHER FOR DE ARRASCAETA!
Uruguay build it up nicely, ball over the top of the Ghana line and the goalscorer is there for a second, this time a tasty volley underneath the keeper.
Kim Young-Gwon gets South Korea level!
GOAL FOR URUGUAY!
Suarez gets on the end of a loose ball in the Ghana box, he strikes it well but the keeper saves but can't stop the onrushing Giorgian de Arrascaeta.
AYEW MISSES THE PENALTY!
An awful strike goes straight into the palms of Rochet. Almost poetic.
Ghana have a huge chance after Mohammed Kudus was deemed onside and the Uruguay shot-stopper brought him down on the byline. HUGE MOMENT COMING UP.
Horta opens the scoring!

Joshua Kimmich is taking Germany's group stage exit personally, and fears that he will 'fall into a hole'. Hopefully, he can get back to his best quickly enough!
