“Worst. Manager. Ever. Go Now.” Chelsea Fans Erupt In Fury At Devastating Loss To Manchester City
It seems as if fans’ patience with Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been finally exhausted after they were humbled at the hands of incumbent Premier League champions Manchester City; a 6-0 drumming their worst loss ever in the English top tier.
Chelsea now find themselves with a real battle on their hands for top-four status, with debilitating scoreline meaning they’ve sunk below the Red Devils and even Arsenal, into sixth place in the league table.
The defeat seemed summed up even before 30 minutes of play at the Etihad, and it seems Chelsea supporters have tired of Sarri’s tactics, his squad selection, and how he uses key players such as their star Eden Hazard. The famed ‘Sarri-ball’ experiment has been turned into ‘Sorry-ball’;
“Chelsea and Hazard under Sarri should be illegal” @SemperFiUt
“Guess that’s the last of Sarri at Chelsea then?!” @Elnino097
“As predicted since he was hired, Sarri is Chelsea's worst manager. Well done to Man City.” @PanixATK
“Hazard doesn't need to suffer this embarrassment ever again. Sarri has turned Chelsea into the new Arsenal.” @__arerry__
“sarri-ball is just a stupid ideology in modern day football. this Chelsea Team is totally gonna experience mass exodus. come to think of it, it appears Manchester City have more players on the field than Chelsea.” @a_taoriox
“I am not even angry or p*ssed off. I feel f*ck all for this. Sarri, you got some serious Q's need answering pal.” @ChelseaBlue09
“Sarri must go now !!!!!” @arminhasicic
Chelsea certainly are a pale imitation of the side that romped to the title - their fifth Premier League - just a little over 19 months ago. With a notoriously trigger-happy owner, the omens aren’t looking good for the beleaguered Italian manager and his time at Stamford Bridge.
