Once you have confirmed your predictions, you can edit these up until the deadline.
Perfect 10 - rounds are resulted based on the outcome after 90 minutes, and do not include extra time.
Perfect 6 - rounds are resulted based on the official result of each race. In the event of a dead-heat between two or more horses, all horses involved will be declared as winners.
Pick 123 - rounds are resulted based on the official result of the event. In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, all players involved will be declared as being correct selections. For example, if there is a tie between two players for 2nd place, anyone selecting that player to be 2nd or 3rd will be resulted as being correct.
Perfect 10 – each correct prediction rewards 1 point. The person who correctly predicts all 10 outcomes, scoring 10 points, will win the jackpot. The tie break question is only used if 2 or more competitors have correctly predicted all 10 outcomes.
Perfect 6 – each correct prediction rewards 1 point. The person who correctly predicts all 6 winners, scoring 6 points, will win the jackpot. The tie break question is only used if 2 or more competitors have correctly predicted all 6 winners.
Pick 123 – you win if you correctly predict 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed competitors, in the exact order, in the competition.
Tie break questions
In the event of 2 or more competitors scoring the maximum points for a round, the tie break answer will ultimately determine the winner who receives the full jackpot. Whoever correctly predicts the tie break answer (or whoever is nearest) will win the full jackpot. In the event of 2 or more people correctly predicting the tie break answer, or being of equal margins off the correct tie break answer, the jackpot will be equally shared.
Perfect 10 - Total amount of goals for ALL 10 games. This will be the total amount of official goals scored within the 90 minutes, and does not include any extra time goals scored.
Perfect 6 - Combined winning distance of 6 races (to nearest length). This will be the total combined winning distance of all 6 races, to the nearest length. If the combined length is between .5 to .9 then this will be rounded UP to the nearest whole number. If the combined length is between .1 to .4 then this will be rounded DOWN to the nearest whole number. (E.g. 4.4 lengths = 4 lengths, 4.5 lengths = 5 lengths). Race winning distance classifications: A 'Nose' = 0.05l, A 'Short Head' = 0.1l, A 'Head' = 0.2l and A 'Neck' = 0.3l. If the result is a dead heat, the winning distance of that race will be classed as 0l. The official winning distances are determined by The PA and shown on The Sportsman.
Pick 123 - Tie break questions may be included and will be determined prior to each event.
In the event of a fixture or race being postponed (Perfect 10 & Perfect 6), the round will continue and the postponed fixture or race will become void. E.g. Perfect 10 will become a 'Perfect 9'. See 'Jackpots' for further information of Jackpot amendments in the event of 1 or more postponements.
In the event of a competition being postponed (Pick 123 & Sweepstake), the round will become void and The Sportsman will strive to create a new round as soon as possible.
In the event of any postponements, across all games, the jackpot for the round will be re-determined by The Sportsman.
In the event of your Perfect 6 selection is later declared as a non runner, your selection will be transferred on to the SP favourite. If there are joint or co-favourites, it will go on to the joint or co-favourite with the lowest race card number.
Winners of each round will be contacted via the details provided in the registration process.
It is each player's sole responsibility to keep their own personal details up to date and as accurate as possible.
Each winner will be required to verify their age, identity, residence and other requested verification information on the satisfaction of The Sportsman before they are eligible to receive their prize.
