Lake Malaren Golf Club
A course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, the Lake Malaren Golf Club played host to the BMW Masters, which was one of the most valuable prizes on the European Tour.
In becoming the first Jack Nicklaus Legacy golf course in Asia when finished in 2011 it has became a welcome addition to the Tour and with huge funds on offer the professional golfers will all want to be a part of it and take on this monster par-72 that stretches a gargantuan 7,607 yards and is one of the biggest on the Tour.
Many described the course as a "natural parkland" as many natural elements including trees, lakes and streams are incorporated into the venue, so it's essential that players stick to the fairways before trying to attack the pins on their second shots.
However, the greens have often been the most difficult part of the course and the quick undulations in them have left players struggling to make their par on the putting surface and thus finding it difficult to make decent scores during the four rounds of competition.
