Jason Day
Jason Day is regarded as one of the finest golfing talents in the world and the Australian superstar will be a mainstay of the professional golfing circuit for years to come. Born in Queensland in 1987, Day turned professional in 2006 at the tender age of just 19, but soon took to the paid ranks in good style after a strong amateur career. Day was quick to adapt as he made the cut in five out of his first six PGA tournaments before he hit the big time in 2010.
Day became the youngest Australian to win a PGA Tour event in May of 2010 when he won the Byron Nelson Championship by two strokes. It was a very striking performance for such a young man and Day rocketed up the world rankings as a result of his first big win. 2011 was another breakthrough year for Day as he finished in second place at both the Masters and the US Open which saw him enter the top 10 of the world rankings for the first time.
His win in the 2015 USPGA Championship saw him bag his first Major title, and the consistent Australian is sure to be knocking on the door in Major Championships for years to come as he continues to sparkle in the top-50 of world golf.
